Our goal is to place outstanding and caring educators in all of our classrooms so that every student who attends Seligman Schools receives a quality education. We provide a variety of programs to help all students meet or exceed academic standards. The major goal in our primary grades is to provide the instruction necessary to ensure all students can read at grade level by the end of third grade.
Seligman Elementary School is recognized as a Reading First School and serves as a model for a scientific, researched based delivery system for the teaching of reading.
Special attention has been made to provide parents and students with choices to meet individual needs. Seligman Schools has hired a Spanish/Music K-12 teacher. We plan to focus on General Music for elementary students as well as providing a vocal chorus opportunity for secondary students this year. We hope the program will grow from this foundation.
In addition to our varied academic choices, our schools also provide students a number of activities through our extracurricular programs. Seligman Middle School and High School have an excellent sports program that has received numerous state awards. A variety of clubs/activities allow students to extend their learning and service opportunities. In addition, this year we are offering six week Exploratories during 7th hour which will allow students to develop their unique talents and skills beyond academic pursuits.
