Library/Media Center
The Seligman Schools library serves students from kindergarten through twelfth
grade, offering a wide variety of books and reference materials to all grade
levels. We are proud of the number and quality of the materials offered.
The library supports the Accelerated Reading program,
providing students with AR books in all levels and interests. We are constantly
adding AR titles and quizzes so that students have a wide range of choices. We
listen to what both students and teachers would like to have available, and
encourage their input when determining what we order.
Every year the library holds a Scholastic Book Fair which
raises funds to purchase library books. The Fair is always greatly anticipated
by students, who just love to browse the shelves and tables, which offer a vast
variety of books and educational games, toys, software, etc. The Fair is always
successful; last year we had our best yet, and raised over $1,200! Next year’s
Scholastic Book Fair is already scheduled for early November, just in time for
those thoughtful, educational Christmas gifts! More information will be
available here as plans are finalized.
Each summer we try to weed out old, outdated books from the
shelves. These books are available free of charge to students, staff, and the
community. Please come to the library during school hours to see what’s
available. Right now, we have elementary titles and reference books that have
been weeded.
Parents are always welcome to visit the library with their
children. We are open during normal school hours.
